FIRE Foundation of Denver is pleased to sponsor the following professional development for school staff.
March 8, 2024:
In partnership with the Office of Catholic schools, FIRE Denver will sponsor a day long inclusive education training for all teachers, staff, and principals by Inclusion Solutions, LLC.
July 29, August 5, and August 7, 2024:
Join us from 9am-10:30am on Zoom for a 3 part webinar with Nicole Eredics on “Opening Doors: Curriculum Modifications for Students with Disabilities”.
Nicole Eredics is an elementary teacher, Board Certified Inclusion Specialist, and holds a Master’s degree in Special Education. Nicole is passionate about creating inclusive spaces for students with disabilities in the general education classroom. She draws upon her years of experience and on-the-job insight to write, speak, and consult on the topic of inclusive education to various local and national organizations. In addition, she is the author of a practical guidebook for teachers and parents called, Inclusion in Action: Practical Strategies to Modify Your Curriculum. FIRE Denver is offering a leadership training for partner school leaders (Pastor, principal, assistant principal, and lead SPED teacher) with renowned researcher and educator, Michael J. Boyle, Ph.D., Director of Content and Partnership Development for Inclusion Solutions, LLC. Dr. Boyle will also provide partner schools with eight (8) follow-up zoom meetings, one each month, to address specific coaching at the school level throughout the school year.
Dr. Boyle has worked in education in a variety of settings and roles. Most recently, he served as the superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Joliet-Illinois. Before this position, Dr. Boyle served as the director of the Andrew M. Greeley Center for Catholic Education at Loyola University Chicago. As a school psychologist at both the high school and elementary levels, he worked with students across a broad range of areas of exceptionality. He has also served as a special education administrator in several public school districts and as principal of a Catholic elementary school. Dr. Boyle serves as the board chair of the National Catholic Partnership on Disability. He also serves on the board of directors of Loyola Press. Additionally, he served on the governing board of the Journal of Catholic Education.
Inclusion Solutions, LLC is a company that assists private religious schools in meeting the needs of all learners through ongoing, sustainable professional development efforts in strong partnerships with schools. Through this unique opportunity, our schools will be able to identify their school’s system strengths and weaknesses, create a plan to develop/strengthen systems and protocols, and identify ways to build capacity among faculty and staff.
